Issuing A Refund

If you need to manually issue a refund, follow the steps below.

<aside> 💡 **Tip: If possible find alternate ways to resolve your customer’s issue, like issuing a credit. If you process too many refunds, your Stripe account will be flagged as “high risk” and they will close and ban your Stripe account.

If this happens, immediately contact your Ternary Premier Customer Support Agent or email [email protected].**

Part 1:

Log into your Ternary Admin Dashboard. Go to the “Users” tab. Search for the customer and click on the user.

Part 2:

Click on the red "Customer ID" link. It will open a new window to the customer’s Stripe account.

Part 3:

In Stripe, move the cursor over the payment that needs to be refunded, until this icon pops up.

Then click on the “Refund Payment” icon.

Part 4:

Type the amount to be refunded and select a reason. You can also add a reason for the refund. Next click on "Refund". Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to process and show on a customer’s statement.

Customers will be sent a confirmation email once the refund has been processed.
